I’m thinking of a specific person already and I’m sure you all know one or actually are that person, that continually demolishes their phones, time after time after time after time etc… Well, we seemingly have a solution for these phone crash test dummies that doesn’t involve an Otter Box case.
The LG G Flex phone has some major durability attributes that could save people a ton of money if they’re continually replacing iPhones, Androids, or Windows phones… and if you’re still spinning your own yarn, churning your own butter, using cattle to plow your fields, and use wooden teeth as a dental solution, then probably Blackberries too. The phone is slightly curved and uses materials able to withstand natural pressures and impacts without cracking or breaking, ie: with two edges touching and the center body upraised, it can be pushed down flat from the center, and inversely, with the center body touching and two edges upraised, the edges can be forced down flat with no physical damage made to the phone.
In addition to being able to withstand full-body (keyword there) pressures, its casing appears to have a self-healing quality. The video below doesn’t exactly clarify HOW it self-heals, but it does show that when scratches occur, they do in fact, look to turn invisible, thought the scratch is still physically present. It also appears to self-heal in warmer temperatures, which probably means you should put the phone in your pocket right after it’s dropped so that it can “heal” quicker.
This video doesn’t give us any OS functionality but with the unique body type, the guts are not its main selling point anyway.
It’s pretty cool. Check it out. Don’t be a moron and try to bend and scratch your phone.
Enjoy!
