When I think of Henry Cavill, it’s hard for me to think of him being anyone but Superman right now. I don’t think of an over exorbitant amount of acting, but more action sequences and CGI enhancements. Less range and more singular focus, which is mildly ironic since Superman is also Clark Kent. Enter Guy Ritchie.
If you’re looking for a director who demands range from his cast, Guy Ritchie is that director. Not everything he lays his hands on turns to gold but there’s plenty of gold that has come from things he’s laid his hands on. If I’m looking to be convinced that Henry Cavill is someone other than Kal-El from Krypton, I’m looking in the direction of Guy Ritchie to make that happen. In just over 2 minutes worth of a trailer, I’m already pretty convinced.

So by now you’re convinced too. Henry Cavill all of a sudden looks like a great James Bond candidate once he’s done with Superman.
Guy Ritchie has dabbled all over the timeline of modern humanity now. He’s hit various present day settings with popular titles like Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. He’s hit that post-colonial/industrial revolution era with Sherlock Holmes. Now he’s dabbling in the Cold War espionage era of the 1960’s.
Guy Ritchie seems to have it all when it comes to the vision of the end game. The dialogue is snappy and witty. The fashion is sharp, stylish and accurate. The sets and locations are complex and perfect. His camerawork and shot sequences are second to none when it comes to storytelling with style or action with artistry.
So what are you thinking? Is this going to be more Guy Ritchie Gold? Are you still stuck on Henry Cavill being Superman? Does Henry Cavill look like Archer to you too??? Hit up the comments and I’ll see you down there
Seriously, if you think Henry Cavill looks like Archer in this, you’re going to want to hit me up on facebook, twitter and instagram. Archer is my Oprah and Morgan Freeman all in one.
