If you ask me, and plenty of you already have, I’m all for Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilms and releasing a new trilogy come 2015. My main reason for that is a selfish one. Lucas pretty much washed his hands of the idea of making any new Star Wars movies because of the flack fans gave him about the newest trilogy. Disney giving me SOME Star Wars, not to mention hope of GOOD Star Wars, will always be more appreciated than leaving me with what Lucas left it as. If they make it as good as Tron and The Avengers and I’ll be one happy camper. To couple with my last sentence, Disney has been crushing it when it comes to executing quality films for franchises with cult followings. Examples that immediately come to mind: Pirates, Tron and most recently, The Avengers. I have faith they can handle Star Wars quite well and give it a much higher level of respectability than what Lucas left it with.
Well our Next Media friends in Taiwan always seem to have an opinion on whats going on in the USA. Why would this be any different? It’s always entertaining to watch, regardless of any argument you have against what they say or how they say it. I’m actually excited for the election to happen so I can see what they say about it.
