Spider-Man was probably the first comic book superhero I ever fell in love with. There was something about him being a boy and not a man, that made it awesome to me. He was a kid in school. So was I. All I was missing was everything else about him that made him awesome. The spider sense, web shooting, spider agility, ability to scale walls and ceilings, web-slinging from sky scrapers, etc. He probably didn’t like Star Wars as much as I do, so I have my advantages over Spider-Man too. After the absolute mockeries that were released under the Spider-Man name, I thought I was doomed to never see a great film about my oldest, favorite superhero. Thank the force, that doesn’t seem to be the case. This is a pretty awesome trailer. I saw one earlier today that was Peter and Flash Thompson having a dispute over a basketball in the gym. These things are important in high school. Peter decides to use his powers to put Flash in his place. When all is said and done, Peter dunks the basketball, shatters the glass and tears off the rim. I definitely could’ve done without that, but I’m sure the little kids will go crazy for it. Check out the preview and tell me this Spider-Man doesn’t look a bazillion times better than the 3 Toby Maguire pieces of garbage they tried to pass off as Spidey movies. And by the way… THIS is Mary Jane Watson… not this.
