Downloaded: A Documentary On How Our Generation On Napster Brought Down The Music Industry

The expectations of the accessibility of music has changed in a massive way over the past decade or more.  About 13 years ago, all generations in their teens and older can be held responsible for having a hand in that revolution once we were exposed to the program, Napster.  Whether you used it or not, it changed your life.  Mix cd’s became a business for the early birds who went out and bought the first generation cd burners.  Internet speed mattered in a big way and almost demanded your home to have 2 phone lines to dedicate one to the web.  MP3 players were becoming in demand from the boom of digital music files.  Businesses crashed because they had nothing in place to fight the record losses they would experience through music sharing.  The industry still doesn’t have a handle on it.  My generation’s legacy is surely paired with one of the biggest music and technology hybrid revolutions the world has ever seen.  I’m glad to be a part of it.  Lets keep the party going.

Enjoy.
