Attack On Titan Live-Action Trailer. If You Don’t Know About It, You Should.

If my last post about Mega Shark vs Kolossus (Giant Titan) was your first introduction to Attack on Titan, I have done a disservice to both you and Attack on Titan. If you haven’t checked out that post yet, wait until you get wrapped up with this one, then circle back.

Mega Shark vs Kolossus (Giant Titan). Eat Your Heart Out Sharknado.

Attack on Titan is a series of graphic novels, Japanese anime series, and now soon-to-be, live-action movie. Before we get into it too far, check out the new trailer for the film and get your interest peaked. We’ll pick back up on this below.

Attack on Titan (Live-Action Movie) – Official Trailer

If you’re pretty drawn into what you’ve seen here, the best part is that you haven’t seen ANY of the action yet. There’s a whole other level of ingenuity that Attack on Titan takes on over just about anything else even remotely comparable. The way the humans fight back, assuming you don’t already know how they do so, is beyond unique and undoubtedly going to translate into some incredible visuals.

The general story of Attack on Titan is a world of cities surrounded by massive stone walls to keep out giant humanoids called Titans. The Titans have steaming hot internals and are huge beings that seemingly just walk around aimlessly unless stimulated by something that catches their attention, and the things that catch their attention most are food-related things. People happen to be at the top of that list of food-related things. Once stimulated, the Titans, in varying levels of coordination, go into a frenzy of chasing after the stimuli until they’ve eaten it. This is interesting about the humanoid Titans because they have no digestive track or anything located in their pelvic region to suggest a digestive track is present or any anatomy at all to classify a sex. When Titans are full, they vomit up a big, transparent, gelatinous pile containing the chewed and mangled remains of the humans they’ve eaten. The thought itself is pretty unsettling. Imagine one laying outside in the streets of a highly populated village or city, standing about 2 or 3 stories high.

In general, this description covers all of the Titans until the discovery of a new Titan, a giant Titan with no skin covering its muscle tissue, ligaments and tendons all over its body. The giant Titan poses a threat to all of the remaining cities, leaving the humans with no other choice but to need to stop hiding behind their humongous walls and fight back. Using a extremely sharp blades and “3D maneuvering” devices, which allow humans to travel in a Spider-Man-like fashion and speeds, the humans attempt to take the offensive. Amidst the chaos, the humans find out they have a very unexpected, scale-tipping and extremely risky weapon to fight back against the Titans.

That’s about all I’m going to give you for now. If you’re up on Attack on Titan, you know what I’m talking about, why I stopped there, and can totally agree on just how much action has been left out of this trailer. Regardless, hit up the comments and let me know what you think about the trailer so far and what you hope to see if you’re more familiar with the story. I’ll see you down there.

I feel the need to prove that I’m not larger than life and am a very normal-sized human being. The best way I can do that is to have you link up with me on facebooktwitter and instagramWe are same.
